Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), has brought attention to the dire state of affairs at two Islamabad colleges, including the Islamabad Model College for Girls G-13. During his visit to the college on Monday, Bakhtawari noted the deficiencies plaguing the institution, including a lack of security staff, boundary walls, furniture, laboratories, playgrounds, buses, and potable water.

Expressing concern over these shortcomings, Bakhtawari pledged immediate action to alleviate some of the pressing issues. He announced the provision of five computers, the installation of a filtration plant, and the establishment of a fully equipped first aid box for the college. Furthermore, he advocated for the appointment of permanent teaching staff and volunteered to cover the salary of a computer teacher from his personal funds.

Bakhtawari’s proactive stance underscores the ICCI’s commitment to addressing educational challenges and fostering conducive learning environments. Earlier, during his visit to Islamabad College for Boys G-13, Bakhtawari also announced initiatives aimed at improving facilities, including the installation of a filtration plant and the provision of a comprehensive first aid box, financed from his own resources.
