Provincial Minister Accelerates Road Repairs in Rawalpindi

Dr. Jamal Nasir, the Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare and Population Welfare, has revealed plans for the repair and carpeting of 36 roads in Rawalpindi, including the prominent Asghar Mall Road. The minister assured that the work will commence soon and will be executed at an accelerated pace, colloquially referred to as the ‘Mohsin Speed,’ addressing a long-standing demand of the local residents.

The announcement was made during a meeting with a delegation from Anjuman Tajran Asghar Mall Road, led by Central General Secretary Tahir Taj Bhatti. The delegation included prominent figures such as Group Leader Sheikh Usman, Patron Amir Hussain, Joint Secretary Muhammad Abbas, and Vice President Abdul Samad.

Dr. Jamal Nasir elaborated on the forthcoming establishment of a Business Facilitation Center in Rawalpindi, emphasizing its role in simplifying and expediting the investment process in the province. The center is poised to house representatives from 20 federal and provincial departments, ensuring the swift issuance of all necessary NOCs for investment within two weeks. The minister highlighted that similar centers have been inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore, and plans are in motion to replicate these facilities in Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, and other major cities.

Providing insights into the educational sector, Dr. Jamal Nasir shared that 25 schools in Rawalpindi, including Government Muslim Higher Secondary School, are slated for upgrades. The development extends to boys’ colleges as well, aligning with the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education in the region.

In an effort to promote healthy recreational spaces, the Provincial Minister also disclosed that funds amounting to 10 crore rupees are allocated for the upgradation of parks in Rawalpindi. This initiative aims to provide citizens with enhanced and aesthetically pleasing spaces for leisure and entertainment.

The comprehensive plans outlined by Dr. Jamal Nasir reflect a holistic approach towards addressing various civic needs, encompassing infrastructure, business facilitation, education, and public recreation in Rawalpindi. The minister emphasized a commitment to swift and efficient execution to meet the aspirations and demands of the local populace.
