CDA Chairman Sets Three-Month Deadline for Completion of Residential Sector Development Projects

Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), has mandated the completion of ongoing residential sector development works in Sectors C-14, C-15, C-16, I-12, and E-12 within four months. This directive follows a detailed briefing where he was informed of the progress: 50% of development work in Sectors C-14 and C-15, 45% in Sector E-12, and 80% in Sector I-12.

Randhawa emphasized the removal of all obstacles to ensure uninterrupted progress. Specifically, he instructed that Sector C-14’s development be completed by September 2024, with possession handed to allottees. The construction in Sectors I-12/3 and I-12/4 is to be finished and handed over within three months.

He also insisted that payments to contractors should only be made after third-party validation of the completed works. To enhance efficiency, he called for the appointment of consultants for all projects and stressed the importance of coordination among relevant departments. Randhawa highlighted the need to prioritize long-stalled projects to ensure their timely completion.
