Pakistan Stock Exchange Surpasses 119,000 Points, Reflecting Investor Confidence

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) achieved a historic milestone as the KSE-100 index surpassed 119,000 points for the first time, signaling robust investor confidence in the country’s economic policies. The index climbed by over 1,400 points in a bullish opening, reaching an all-time high of 119,421.81, coinciding with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia.

Prime Minister Sharif praised this positive development, stating that it reflects the market’s trust in the government’s economic reforms. He highlighted efforts to create a conducive environment for business and investment, ensuring stability for traders and investors.

The market surge follows the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) acknowledgment of Pakistan’s economic reforms under its $7 billion loan program, which has contributed to the optimistic market sentiment. Despite this progress, the KSE-100 index experienced a slight dip later in the session, trading at 118,526.63 points.

This achievement marks a significant step forward in Pakistan’s economic recovery and underscores growing optimism in its financial markets.
