Pakistan Ready to Receive $2 Billion Investment from Azerbaijan

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is set to welcome $2 billion in investment from Azerbaijan, following discussions between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

During an interview with Azerbaijan TV, Sharif confirmed that Aliyev had reiterated his country’s commitment to investing in multiple sectors in Pakistan. The announcement came as Sharif wrapped up his three-day visit to Azerbaijan, where both leaders explored joint cooperation in trade, commerce, and investment.

Sharif praised Azerbaijan’s economic transformation under Aliyev’s leadership and highlighted future collaboration in commerce, defense production, education, and health. He also noted the historical significance of May 28, marking both Azerbaijan’s Independence Day and the anniversary of Pakistan becoming a nuclear power in 1998.

This investment signals stronger economic ties between the two nations, fostering mutual growth and development.
