Pakistan Launches Strategic Investment Drive in UK

LONDON – Pakistan has kicked off a major investment initiative in the UK, aiming to attract global capital and strengthen its economic standing.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Privatisation Muhammad Ali are leading a high-level delegation in London, engaging with top financial institutions such as TTB Partners, STJ Partners, Deutsche Bank, Berenberg Bank, and Amundi Fund Group. The discussions focus on Pakistan’s privatisation roadmap and long-term investment opportunities in key sectors.

A highlight of the visit is Pakistan Investors Day, hosted by Jefferies on May 8, 2025, where Muhammad Ali will showcase Pakistan’s economic potential and ongoing reforms. He emphasized the country’s commitment to transparency, stability, and investor-friendly policies.

The initiative aligns with Pakistan’s broader efforts to implement structural reforms, improve macroeconomic fundamentals, and open key sectors to foreign investment. The government aims to accelerate growth, create jobs, and foster innovation through strategic global partnerships.

This investment drive signals Pakistan’s forward-looking vision, reinforcing its position as an attractive destination for international investors.
