ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is set to host the Digital Foreign Direct Investment (DFDI) Forum 2025 in Islamabad from April 29 to 30, showcasing its growing influence in the global digital economy.
Organized by the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication in collaboration with the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), the forum aims to position Pakistan as a leader in digital FDI. With IT exports reaching $1.864 billion in the first half of 2024-25 and a thriving tech ecosystem of over 2,000 startups, Pakistan is leveraging its favorable regulations and digital transformation strategies to attract global investors.
The event will bring together leaders from DCO member states, representing a combined GDP of $3.5 trillion and nearly 800 million people. Discussions will focus on actionable investment opportunities in AI, fintech, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.
Pakistan’s national strategies, including the Digital Pakistan Policy and National AI Policy, align with DCO’s goals, making it a natural host for the forum. The initiative aims to create a shared framework for digital FDI, promoting trust, transparency, and technology transfer.
This milestone event underscores Pakistan’s commitment to advancing its digital economy and fostering global partnerships.
