ISLAMABAD – In a strategic move to boost investor confidence, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has established a high-level committee tasked with creating a robust legal framework for investment protection in Pakistan.
The committee, chaired by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Haroon Akhtar Khan, includes key figures from the government, legal experts, and industry leaders. Its primary focus is to identify risks faced by investors, review existing mechanisms, and propose actionable solutions to enhance security for both domestic and foreign investments.
During its inaugural meeting, SAPM Haroon Akhtar emphasized the importance of fostering a stable economic environment to attract sustainable investments. He highlighted the government’s commitment to expanding exports and ensuring every rupee or dollar invested in Pakistan is safeguarded.
This initiative reflects Pakistan’s dedication to revitalizing economic activity and positioning itself as a preferred destination for global investors.
