ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to translating foreign investments into tangible economic outcomes, emphasizing streamlined processes and institutional coordination.
During a high-level meeting, Dar reviewed investment projects across infrastructure, energy, petroleum, and economic development sectors, highlighting the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in fast-tracking decisions. Established in June 2023, the SIFC has facilitated multi-billion-dollar agreements with international partners, particularly Gulf states.
Pakistan’s macroeconomic challenges, including a balance of payments crisis, have driven efforts to attract foreign trade and investment. The government aims to enhance investor confidence through policy reforms and efficient project implementation.
This initiative underscores Pakistan’s strategic focus on economic stability and global partnerships, ensuring long-term growth and prosperity.
