Trail 7 is a recently launched trail. It starts from sector C-12 and ends at Kainthla. The rough track was already there but now it is properly taken over by CDA and will be fully administered under CDA. The length of this trail is about 5 km. The trail holds beautiful views of Shah Allah Ditta caves and Kainthla Meadows.

The trail is recently noticed by CDA while the construction of Margalla Avenue and the expansion of Sector C-12. It is the only trail in this region of Islamabad (Southern) because all the other trails lie on the western side of Islamabad. The main purpose of this trail is to lessen the crowd on the other trails. It will also provide jobs for the lower class. So all in all, it is a good initiative by CDA to keep providing good activities to the citizens of the twin citizens.
Recently CDA has also reopened Trails 1 & 2 for the hikers. These were previously closed because of bad maintenance but now CDA has completed all the necessary restoration such as maps, benches, and milestones along the way.

Islamabad is one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. The reason is the natural scenic beauty of the Margalla Hills. The Margalla Hills are the continuation of the Himalayan Mountain Range. Margalla Hills give a soothing sense to its viewers. The soil on the hill is fertile and completely covered with green trees, herbaceous plants, and rocks. The forest on the hills is the natural habitat for a variety of animals and birds.
Surrounded by the Margalla Hills, Islamabad has one of the best hiking tracks in South Asia. There are about nine hiking tracks throughout Islamabad. The hiking tracks are categorized as trails 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. The remaining two are known as Bari Imam Trail and Saidpur Trail. These are one of the safest places in Pakistan for people who want to experience hiking and overnight camping.
