CDA to Hold Margalla Tree Drive Session on 27th June

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to host a ‘Margalla Tree Drive Session’ on June 27, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Jinnah Convention Center. This decision emerged from a meeting chaired by Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, attended by environmental expert Rizwan Mehboob and other CDA officers.

Muhammad Ali Randhawa announced that the session aims to involve the community in the upcoming Margalla Hills Tree Plantation Drive, scheduled for the first week of July. The session will invite stakeholders from the corporate sector, volunteers, the general public, and educational institutions.

The open house will address community involvement in preserving the Margalla Hills, including measures to repair damage from recent fires. The campaign, using hashtags #CDACares and #TreeDriveMargallahHills, seeks to protect and enhance the area’s wildlife and vegetation. Collaborative discussions will focus on improving the Margalla Hills’ beauty, greenery, and protection.
