Joint Effort: CDA and Climate Change Ministry Deploy 150 Personnel to Tackle Margalla Forest Fire

On Friday, approximately 150 personnel from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Ministry of Climate Change joined forces to combat a fire that erupted in the forests of Margalla Forest, as confirmed by a ministry spokesperson.

The fire, exacerbated by a heat wave and intensified wind speed, spread rapidly, engulfing areas spanning Loi Dandi, Ratahoter, and Pir Sohawa, extending up to three kilometers within the Margalla hills.

In a concerted effort to prevent casualties and contain the blaze, swift action was initiated. Trained personnel remained actively engaged in firefighting operations late into the night, striving to curb the fire’s advance.
