To enhance safety and aesthetics in Islamabad, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has successfully completed nearly 90% of the LED street light installation, repair, and maintenance of existing street lights along the streets, service roads, and main avenues of Islamabad.
LED Street Light Installation Project

A CDA official informed that the authority had allocated funds for this project last month, emphasizing that this initiative not only aims to ensure a well-lit environment on the city’s roads and streets but also plays a pivotal role in curbing criminal activities. The shortage of street lights in various sectors of the federal capital had contributed to a recent surge in street crimes, prompting concerned residents to bring the issue to the attention of relevant authorities.

Work is also progressing swiftly in sectors I-16, D-12, and others, marking a comprehensive initiative to address the lighting needs of various areas within the federal capital.
