A diverse group of protesters from various backgrounds, including journalists, gathered outside the National Press Club in Islamabad to express their concern and solidarity with the Palestinian people. Prominent figures from the political, journalistic, and labor sectors were present, including Senate Standing Committee on Defence Chairman Mushahid Hussain Syed, Senator Javed Abbasi, patron-in-chief of Pakistan Sweet Home Zamurrad Khan, PFUJ President Afzal Butt, Pakistan Workers Federation General Secretary Chaudhry Mohammad Yasin, National Press Club President Anwar Raza, Khubaib Foundation Chairman Nadeem Ahmed Khan, ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, Zafar Bakhtawari, Khalid Chaudhry, Ajmal Baloch, Yasir Butt, and leaders representing various labor organizations and journalists.
A Call for Ceasefire and Solidarity
The demonstrators voiced their profound concern about the ongoing atrocities being committed against innocent Palestinians. They stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire to end the violence and suffering in the region. The protesters emphasized that the entire Muslim Ummah stood in solidarity with the Palestinian people during this challenging period.
