ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to revitalize Melody Food Street and develop a new food street in the Blue Area, aiming to enhance Islamabad’s dining scene.
Melody Food Street, known as the capital’s first and most iconic food hub, will undergo a major infrastructure upgrade, including pavement repairs, improved lighting, and a dedicated parking area. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized the importance of maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards, directing collaboration with the Islamabad Food Authority for regular inspections.
In addition to Melody’s revamp, Randhawa has approved the creation of a modern food street in the Blue Area, featuring landscaped spaces, decorative lighting, and ample parking to accommodate heavy foot traffic. The initiative aims to expand dining options and create vibrant recreational spaces for residents and visitors.
These developments reflect CDA’s commitment to preserving cultural landmarks while modernizing Islamabad’s urban infrastructure.
