Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has officially inaugurated Islamabad’s first-ever environment-friendly electric buses in Islamabad. During the ceremony, the Minister inspected the buses and praised Chairman Capital Development Authority Muhammad Ali Randhawa and his team for their efforts.

Minister Naqvi traveled on an electric bus after obtaining a token from an electronic machine, highlighting the initiative’s modernity. He announced that 33 buses will be operational in the initial phase, with a total of 166 buses planned for the entire scheme.

The Minister expressed gratitude to the Turkish Ambassador, the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, and the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation for their support. He noted that around 16,000 people will benefit from this service daily, with buses running from 6 am to 10 pm. Additionally, a charging station has been established to support the fleet.
