CDA Chairman Sets Strict Deadline: Development Projects to be Completed in Four Months

Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has mandated the completion of ongoing development projects across all sectors within four months. Presiding over a sector development meeting, Randhawa stressed the importance of swiftly resolving obstacles to ensure continuous progress.

During the meeting, Randhawa received updates on various sectors: Sector C-14 and C-15 have reached 50 percent completion, Sector E-12 is at 45 percent, and Sector I-12 is at 80 percent. He instructed that Sector C-14’s development must be finalized by September 2024, with possession handed to allottees. Additionally, Sectors I-12/3 and I-12/4 should be completed and handed over within three months.

Randhawa emphasized that payments for sector development would be contingent on third-party validation and called for the appointment of consultants for all projects. Effective coordination among relevant entities is crucial, and priority must be given to completing long-stalled projects. This directive aims to ensure timely progress and accountability in Islamabad’s development efforts.
