ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, has highlighted the promising economic opportunities emerging from the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Addressing the China-Pakistan Round Table Seminar in Tianjin, Ambassador Hashmi emphasized how Phase-II will strengthen industrial cooperation and foster Business-to-Business (B2B) partnerships.
The ambassador outlined Pakistan’s potential in the petrochemical industry, encouraging Chinese firms to explore joint ventures and investment opportunities. To advance this collaboration, the Pakistani Embassy is set to host a petrochemical B2B event in May 2025, providing a platform for direct engagements between businesses from both countries.
Chinese representatives at the seminar expressed confidence in investing in Pakistan, acknowledging its strategic location and economic development. The event underscored the momentum of the bilateral partnership, with industrial cooperation taking center stage.
This initiative positions CPEC Phase-II as a catalyst for deeper economic integration and innovation, paving the way for growth in Pakistan’s industrial sectors.
