RDA Seals 11 Commercial Buildings in Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), following directives from Director General (DG) Kinza Murtaza, has sealed 11 commercial buildings on Caltex Road in the Morgah area. The RDA Enforcement Squad, led by the Assistant Director Building Control and Building Inspectors, conducted the operation targeting unauthorized commercial properties, including seven shops, two warehouses, and two restaurants.

The RDA spokesman stated that the enforcement team acted in accordance with the law, as the owners of the properties—Ch. Akram, Osama, Nouman, Saeed, Nasir Kiyani, Naeem, Ajmal, Muhammad Razzaq, Zahoor Hashmi, Dr. Waheed, and Mirza Shamim Baig—were found in violation of approved building plans and maps. DG Kinza Murtaza had instructed the Land Use & Building Control (LU&BC) Wing to take stringent action against encroachments and unauthorized constructions without discrimination.
