CDA to Develop Islamabad’s Infrastructure to Increase Tourism

ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced ambitious plans to enhance Islamabad’s tourism appeal, featuring the development of a modern food street in the bustling Blue Area. This initiative, aimed at providing both residents and tourists with a unique culinary experience, was approved during a high-level meeting chaired by Islamabad Chief Commissioner and CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

The upcoming food street will host an array of top-tier local and international food brands, complemented by cutting-edge infrastructure and ample parking facilities. In addition to offering diverse dining options, the project will include beautifully designed walkways, electric carts for elderly visitors and children, and cashless payment options to ensure a seamless experience for all.

Chairman Randhawa emphasized that the food street will be built to international standards, featuring advanced lighting, common seating areas, and strict health and hygiene protocols.

This initiative is part of CDA’s broader efforts to boost Islamabad’s tourism sector and create vibrant recreational spaces for the community.
