ISLAMABAD – In an effort to enhance Islamabad’s beauty and improve public amenities, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is expediting the construction of a state-of-the-art food street in the Blue Area and pedestrian tracks throughout the city. This initiative, led by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa, aims to provide residents and tourists with modern, high-quality travel and dining facilities.
The upcoming food street in Blue Area will offer a diverse selection of local and international food brands, ample parking, and beautifully designed pathways. To ensure accessibility, electric carts will be available for the elderly and children. The food street will feature advanced lighting, common seating areas, and cashless payment options, all adhering to strict health and hygiene standards.
In addition to the food street, the CDA is working on several other projects, including a cable car, zipline, and the operationalization of the Art and Craft Village. These initiatives are part of the CDA’s broader efforts to promote tourism and recreational activities in Islamabad, with plans to establish a Safari Park and a Cultural Center.
Chairman Randhawa has directed all CDA officers to intensify their efforts and complete these projects on time, emphasizing their importance in making Islamabad a significant hub for tourism and recreational activities. The CDA remains committed to the city’s development, working tirelessly to transform Islamabad into a modern and attractive city.
