ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has officially terminated its contract with AJCL, the firm responsible for digitizing Islamabad’s parking system, citing serious violations, negligence, and financial misconduct.
According to a CDA spokesperson, the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) took action after AJCL repeatedly failed to meet its contractual obligations, resulting in public safety risks and significant revenue losses.
Key Findings:
- Digital payment systems were never installed as promised.
- Unrecorded cash transactions raised concerns over transparency.
- Security lapses led to thefts and public inconvenience.
Despite multiple warnings, AJCL did not address the issues, prompting the CDA to revoke the contract and file an FIR at Kohsar Police Station.
This move underscores the CDA’s commitment to accountability and efficient urban management, ensuring that public services meet safety and transparency standards.
