ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has set a new milestone by utilizing a record Rs25 billion development budget during the ongoing fiscal year. This achievement underscores Islamabad’s commitment to infrastructure development, beautification, and public welfare.
During a meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, it was revealed that most projects were completed within their stipulated timelines. The chairman emphasized the importance of financial self-sufficiency and directed the establishment of a Special Recovery Unit to enhance the recovery of outstanding dues.
To ensure transparency and efficiency, the CDA plans to digitize its financial management system and conduct a comprehensive survey of leased properties. Notices will be issued to defaulters and violators of lease terms, with penalties imposed for non-compliance.
The CDA is also exploring innovative strategies to diversify revenue streams, ensuring financial stability and the timely completion of future projects. These efforts reflect the authority’s dedication to Islamabad’s progress and prosperity.
