CDA Chairman Emphasizes Business Community’s Crucial Role in Islamabad’s Progress

Mohammad Ali Randhawa, Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), underscored the pivotal role of the business community in Islamabad’s development during a meeting with a delegation from the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Monday.

Randhawa affirmed the commitment to incorporate the business community’s input into decision-making processes regarding the city’s development. In discussions with Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President of ICCI, Randhawa expressed optimism in overcoming developmental challenges through the adoption of best practices. He pledged to visit the Chamber House with his team soon to gain firsthand insights into the community’s issues.

Randhawa emphasized his personal involvement in addressing the concerns of traders by visiting different markets, holding meetings with leaders, and directing relevant officers for prompt solutions. Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari welcomed Randhawa and his team, highlighting key issues faced by the business community. Bakhtawari also shared his initiative of installing filtration plants in markets to address the issue of clean drinking water.

The invitation extended by ICCI for a visit was accepted by Randhawa, who pledged to prioritize it to gain a comprehensive understanding of community concerns. Khalid Iqbal Malik, Group Leader of ICCI, commended Randhawa for extending the timings of the ‘One Window’ service, recognizing its role in facilitating visitors.

Former President of ICCI and Secretary General UBG, Zafar Bakhtawari, assured Randhawa of the business community’s support in resolving their issues.
