CDA Seals 60 Buildings on Violating Bylaws

60 Buildings

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed 60 buildings in the federal capital as part of a crackdown on violations of its bylaws. This action underscores the CDA’s commitment to enforcing regulations and maintaining order in urban development.

The Building Control Wing, in collaboration with the Enforcement Directorate, sealed 38 buildings in G-9/4 due to non-conforming use. Additionally, 22 under-construction buildings in Gulberg Residencia were sealed for proceeding without the necessary permissions.

The CDA issued notices to the owners of the sealed properties, reminding them to obtain the required permissions from the authority before beginning construction. Despite these warnings, the owners failed to comply, leading to the sealing of their properties.

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized the authority’s dedication to upholding building bylaws across Islamabad and stated that the crackdown on violations will continue consistently to ensure compliance and orderly development.
