The Google for Education team, in collaboration with local partner Tech Valley, recently met with the Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to unveil ambitious plans for 50 schools across Pakistan.

As part of the forthcoming initiatives, 50 smart schools in Islamabad are slated to receive a transformative upgrade. Equipped with 30,000 Google for Education IDs, these schools will harness the power of artificial intelligence to revolutionize learning experiences. Among the features included are AI-powered practice sets and a suite of digital tools aimed at fostering collaboration and boosting productivity among students and educators alike.

In addition to the technological advancements, discussions during the meeting encompassed a range of upcoming initiatives designed to further bolster Pakistan’s education ecosystem. These include:

1. Teacher workshops focused on leveraging Google for Education tools to enhance teaching methodologies and classroom engagement.

2. The establishment of a public Google Reference School, serving as a model institution showcasing best practices in educational technology integration.

3. Training programs aimed at equipping 2000 youths with job-ready skills through Google Career Certificates, thus bridging the gap between education and employment.

4. Potential collaboration on hosting an Edutech event in partnership with the Ministry of Federal Education, aimed at fostering dialogue and innovation within the education technology sector.
